Trying to please everyone

Once a father and a son were traveling with their horse. Then son said, “Father! What is the use of a new horse if you don’t ride it. I think you should ride it”

Father thought for a moment and said, “ You’re right, Son!” Saying so the father rides the horse.

After some time, they crossed two other travelers. The father overheard one of the travellers telling the other one, “Did you notice that the father was riding the horse while his child is walking. What a cruel parent”

This disturbed the father, so after a while he got down of the horse and told his son to ride the horse instead.

The son started riding the horse and the father started walking along side.

While the son was riding the horse, a man who was standing by the side of the road, shouted at him,”Do you have any shame? What kind of son rides the horse while his father is walking?”

The son felt very embarrassed so he asks his father to ride along.

Both father and the son decided to ride the horse together.

After riding for a while together on the horse, they met two more people who started scolding them,”please have some mercy on the poor animal. Just because the horse cannot speak, it doesn’t mean he is in. Why are you both riding him together”

Moral: Different people will have different opinions. One cannot please everyone. So, just leave it at that. Try your best but always keep in your Ming that someone somewhere will NOT be happy with what you’re doing.
